Have you checked that this was implemented already?
If it makes it clearer to the user, the code could be changed so that the "Debugger" options tab is also visible when the Launch configuration dialog is opened in Run mode. (as opposed as just when in Debug mode)

I am seeing a similar behaviour when launching a debug configuration. Application compiled via

go build -gcflags="-N -l" ${resource_loc}

Debugger stops in rt0_darwin_amd64.s

@fleimgruber There is an option in the Debugger tab of the launch configuration that controls this ("Stop on startup at: main"). The "main" refers to the C main, therefore the runtime code.
