Tessel + BLE module ordered! I've been looking for a reason to buy one anyway ;)

A firmware directory was created in the repo for beacon firmware examples. A Tessel example would be great! So would one for the nRF51822.

So excited you guys are driving this! We really need more hardware so people like Jonathan and get up and running. We do have some example beacons that we're ordering (to pass out) but they'll take awhile to arrive.

@scottjenson Until then, for $125 you can get a Tessel + BLE Module from their shop in Berkeley, and have a beacon that can also easily connect to an api server (http or websocket) over Wi-Fi. And can be programmed by literally anyone because JavaScript is so easy.

That makes sense. The great thing about this project is that it can be independent of platform from top to bottom. In fact, it must be.

Thank you, I was hoping people would start to figure that out... ;-) This project must be like the web because in many ways it is the web, but for physical spaces

This is turning into a fairly broad conversation. I'm going to close it for now but please feel free to open up another issue if needed. It helps if the issue has a specific question to be answered.
