Markdown formatting not working

@josephkandi do bold tags not work for you at all, or does this bug only appear when the bold tag is within a list item?

I'm seeing the same behavior specifically for lists. Output ends on first markdown tag. If the markdown tag is at the beginning of the list item, it seems to output just the intended HTML tag name. Example:

* **This** is a bold start
* This is a bold **end**
* `This` is a code start
* This is a code `end`

I had downloaded the claat tool from the release page. After going through this again, i instead installed go with Homebrew and used go get github.com/googlecodelabs/tools/claat.

Now everything magically works other than the duration that's not showing. The duration is being rendered just as normal text, but this could be some formatting, will try again and see if i cant sort the duration out.

Duration sorted, seems the previous doc didnt have a :, you just specify duration as Duration 00:05 but now you need to specify it as Duration: 00:05. The README here, https://github.com/googlecodelabs/tools/tree/master/claat/parser/md, was a great help to get all the issues sorted.
