This looks like a Python-related error. Are you using the autogobble
option, or any other settings for the inputted file?
from minted.
Reduced test file:
\documentclass{amsart}
\usepackage{amsmath,amsfonts,amssymb,hyperref,fullpage,minted}
\begin{document}
\title{Title}
\author{\today}
\maketitle
\section{Section}
\inputminted{python}[linenos,lastline=472]{crypter.py}
\end{document}
In Windows, python
runs Python 3.4.1, and python27
runs Python 2.7.3; in OSX, python
runs Python 2.7.5, and python3
runs 3.4.1.

Replicated this error in Ubuntu, as well:
from minted.
Try this instead, with the optional argument first:
\inputminted[linenos,lastline=472]{python}{crypter.py}
from minted.
That worked, thanks!
