That would allow pip install, another way for installation.

But honestly, how much more complicated was git clone? In both cases you'd have to run crawler --install or the service commands.

Actually I was thinking in the direction of deploying on MS Windows. First research suggests that this is easier with packaged python programs.
I am aware of the strings attached with releasing packaged versions of programs but I thought that if flatcrawler is a python package the possibility exists at least.
