@raghsriniv We're only using some parts of syslog4j in Graylog and the server implementations are not part of that and we have no interest in fixing issues in these parts ourselves.

If you intend to use the syslog4j server implementations, I recommend switching to another fork of syslog4j, e. g. https://github.com/NessComputing/syslog4j

This being said, feel free to provide a pull request to fix this issue.

It appears I do not have permission to push a branch to graylog-labs/syslog4j-graylog2.git repo:

~/src/syslog4j-graylog2$ git  push  origin unix_socket_sockaddr_fix

ERROR: Permission to graylog-labs/syslog4j-graylog2.git denied to raghsriniv.
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

~/src/syslog4j-graylog2$ git remote -v
origin	[email protected]:graylog-labs/syslog4j-graylog2.git (fetch)
origin	[email protected]:graylog-labs/syslog4j-graylog2.git (push)

I have no problem pushing to my own repo on github using the same credentials.
