Chris Johns added a patch into the RSB that should solve the issue: https://git.rtems.org/rtems-source-builder/commit/source-builder?id=34d7e0cc71b3c416db11d471fe6843e8b7c725ad
Next time the RSB is updated to the latest version, we will get this patch too.

I am affected. I installed xz with mac ports. RTEMS 5 should probably fix this.

Which branch is affected? The one with update to upstream that Sebastian sent recently or the main branch? The upstream version shouldn't have that issue any more.

OK. On master that is still a known bug. I think it's also in the README as a prerequisite.
