The way the plugin works now is it creates a single colorpicker element that it uses for all instances. In order to specify where that element is appended, it should create a new element for each instance.
How would you expect it to behave if you have multiple instances that each have a different place they want to append the colorpicker?

Well, the problem is that with absolute positioning, if there is a fixed
positioned element, then there is a problem.
