I think what you may be referring to is that you can't click the save button while the tags autocomplete list is open, and that it is difficult to dismiss it. You can currently press escape to close it, but you should be able to click off it to close, and you should be able to click save when it's open.

Can you confirm that this is what you're seeing?

Yes, I can't click on the save button. I would assume [Esc] would close the entire dialogue, since clicking outside also closes.

But I should be able to enter my own tag, that will override & auto-close the drop-down. Eg I can't enter , CSS since some huge tag opens & won't let me proceed. Entering , afterwards doesn't help.

In the short term, you can use escape to close the tag list. We'll definitely fix its persistence though.

Notes:

1. it should disappear when you hit comma.
2. it shouldn't reappear until you add another character (not space or comma)
3. it shouldn't block save / update when it isn't visibly taking up that space (might need to switch to a max-height here).
4. clicking / tabbing out of tags should close it.

Some tags are wider than the dialogue. IMHO they shouldn't be; too long != 'tag'.
