I would be willing to take a stab at some of this; however, I'm new to Go and this project, but I do have plenty of web (HTML/CSS/JS) experience :).

No problem! Do you think I could get a little nudge in the right direction on how to start? What's most important here: node info, data, topology? Of the most important, could you provide some details insofar as what ought be displayed?

I think node information and topology are the most important things to start with. Data is good too, but can come later.
