You say that you support Sass, so it is in the scope of this plugin. Of course it's not your job, you can always say something like "PR welcome" instead of just completely rejecting a valid suggestion.

No. This plugin adds CSS3 (or CSS4) syntax support to Vim's built in CSS and SCSS syntax plugin. & selector is not part of any CSS spec. This should be fixed by SCSS syntax plugin, not by this plugin.
