Yes, it's supposed to. But I have seen it fail, for either an assertion failure or a straight STFail, if the path to the file is outside the project folder. For example, if I expand the console output of a failing test, I see

/Users/joreid/Development/Aunt Jane/ANJ-iOS/Trails/Source/../../Shared/Classes/ANJDeviceTest.m:44: error: -[ANJDeviceTest testSystemVersion] : foo

That relative path traversal seems to be messing things up. Clicking on it does nothing, as you describe. I can reproduce this with STFail, so it's an Xcode bug.
