This is basically the same issue as
#2
The problem is that the nodes are correctly created but they are unable to authenticate to the k8s cluster and therefore do not join. A solution is to uncomment the output "config_map_aws_auth" section of the outputs.tf file and then run terraform apply again.

I have the same issue too.

This has been addressed in #2 and a change has been merged into master, thanks for flagging this

The issue still persists with eks module 18.0.4. No nodes are initiating. It is working fine with 17.x.
