If I understand it correctly, this is using an update mechanism other than the one detailed in RFC 2136. Therefore I don't think it belongs in this particular provider.
Does ovh_domain_zone_record not do what you want?

As @bodgit noted, this request seems to be specific to the ovh provider, rather than being a generic DNS feature. Please feel free to open an issue about this use-case in the ovh provider repository, if you didn't already.
