Please check the installation instructions in the readme. there is a section called "configuring your own responder". You can also run rails g responders:install.

I have read that section and run the installer, but I'm still not sure where to put the module you linked to. Should I put it in the application_responder.rb file?

Yes! You should have a commented line in the application responder, just uncomment it!

I uncommented the following line:

include Responders::CollectionResponder

But I still get the same error:

undefined method `model_name' for Proc:Class

When I run model_name in better errors console, I get the following:

>> model_name
!! #<NameError: undefined local variable or method `model_name' for #<SystemsController:0x007fc6489c6768>>

Any suggestions?

You need to include the Responders::LocationResponder.
