i just realized that flutter pub add -d graphql_codegen added graphql_codegen: ^0.0.1-alpha.1 but 0.7.2 is the latest version, is it supposed to work like that?

@ShooTeX, this seems like a bug. I was able to reproduce it even though the docs state:
By default, dart pub add uses the latest stable version of the package from the pub.dev site. For example, if 0.13.3 is the latest stable version of the http package, then dart pub add http adds http: ^0.13.3 under dependencies in the pubspec.

If you figure out this package misses some configuration to install the right version, let me know. Also, I'd recommend installing the 0.8.0-beta.x version.
