Did you publish your branch already on Github? It helped me to read this blog --> https://medium.com/@mattiaperi/create-a-public-helm-chart-repository-with-github-pages-49b180dbb417 . When I added helm repo index --url https://github.com/youraccount/yourrepo . it made an index.yml. After that the task works perfectly

May I know do we need to do any changes before using this action. Do we need to manually publish the chart before using this action?
