Tried to reproduce this in 5.5.2 but was not able to. What version are you using?

I'm currently using the BETA version 5.6 Build 2132, have attached an Web Interface screenshot (No Active SMTP connections), i started to notice this from 5.5.2 Build 2107

I found a development, when I pause the server the open sessions of all three (SMTP,IMAP,POP3) becomes 0, but when I restart SMTP becomes 3, POP3 - 2 and IMAP-2 instantaneously, as there are more IMAP connection the number fluctuate accordingly but SMTP and POP3 are stuck, I started logging but NO LOGS recorded during this period.

Couldn't it be that there are some SMTP clients not terminating the connection properly? How long time have you waited for the open sessions to be reset?

I have exactly the same problem. My feeling is that the number of open connections always remains equal to the number of IP address bindings minus 1 (so it's zero based).

For Martin - maybe 3 - 5 seconds

Marco may be right because I have 4 SMTP bindings and 3 POP3 bindings and his -1 theory fits well.
