has some scripts for finding undocumented stuff that might be relevant. They're probably not very robust though.

The docfile system and the Keepers system (which provides copies of interesting .sig files) don't really have that much to do with each other, though the generated sig file does link to a doc file when it determines that there is documentation for an entry-point. See, for example, the various links that appear in http://hol.sourceforge.net/kananaskis-7-helpdocs/help/src-sml/htmlsigs/Parse.html
