@alanq, I do not recall the details now, it's been a while. I am sure that I had to refactor my code to avoid using .erb templates, as Sprockets does not recompile them to JS code.

Update.

I am now sure my issue is related to use of .erb in 2 of stimulus controllers. Simple change of their name extension to .js makes them visible in the importmap, however erb code inside is not handled by sprockets which results in an error.

I am using .erb inside to access some data that create URLs I need to use in my code, both from Rails and JS code. Any idea how to implement this without .erb templating in stimulus controllers?

Having this issue with stimulus-rails 1.0.4 and sprockets. Did you resolve this?
