Well, basically, there's next to none "comma" support in current lua-mode source. I'm currently working on that, but not sure how long will it take.

I've rewritten the colorization and most of situations with local variables are handled:

local x,y,z
local x,y,z = 1,2,3
for i = 1,3 do print(i) end
for key,value in pairs(t) do print(key,value) end

The only thing is that it only works if the variables are placed on the same line, but it should cover vast majority of situations given those are local variables and usually have short names. Making it work reliably for multiline statements is a whole new level and will be addressed separately.
