Could you provide an example?

I was uploading my example and taking one last look at the file, this time
in a fresh instance of Emacs. It displayed fine.

What had happened was that as I was editing the long comments, the display
of the non-comment code got messed up in that the non-comment code was
displayed in red and portions of the comment code were syntax highlighted.

My guess is that the problem occurs only if editing and disappears when a
new Emacs instance is started. But I wasn't able to duplicate the problem.

Well, I've got the same problem: wrong highlighting is not persistent.

So, the answer is yes, I know about the problem, but until I can reliably reproduce it, I can't help much, sorry.

Sorry about this browser failure of mine.

Hi there

Could you, please, try the new version from multiline_literals branch and see if the issue persists?

Cheers

I've backported the implementation from multiline_literal branch (b1ac542) and now the highlighting is done via font-lock-syntactic-keywords. This should fix the inconsistency issues.

Closing, but feel free to comment if the issue persists.
