I think that the piece of code

<span class="copyright link">

should be presented in DOM as it is presented now by parse5, but

Copyright content</spane>

should be presented as a text

Now as a text is presented only this part

This is a correct handling of parsing error, which is consistent with spec and browsers.
From chrome javascript console:
