When triying to install I get an error saying:
Cannot read file /webim/install/package
There is no folder in the install directory called 'package'. I'm not sure what it's looking for. I've created the database and put the details in the config file.
When no operators are online users normally send the operators a message, upon filling and submitting the form it appears to send the message, however, no message is ever sent.
I'm using mebew 1.6.4
Appears in client chat:
version 1.6.3
client.php, line 418, Char 6
Google Chrome throws JavaScript errors in the chat window saying that the method, like the send message function, does not exist. The actual chat div area is a light grey and nothing appears there.
I have made some changes that allow the operators to login using their LDAP credentials or the local credentials (logins must match). I also added a field in the config screen so that the LDAP server can be specified.
good day!

of this system -- now not checks for CSRF :-(
this means for example:
an attacker can gain access via CSRF-vulnerable - on the page /webim/operator/operator.php (tested mibew version was 1.6.4)
I see the solution of the problem as:
thanks in advance!
The Mibew Tray application will not run correctly on windows 8... after installing and running you get a script error with the following url:
http://www.openwebim.org/webim/operator/b-a-n-n-e-r1/domainid=3666965
openwebim.org appears to not be working either... is this the cause of the issue?
Hi there,
First of all I'd like to say how great mibew is - works an absolute treat and very easy to use.
I do have one question though regarding the new EU cookie law. Cookies should only be used if the user has opted in and must be removed if the user opts out.
The buttons we embed in a webpage for the messenger set a PHPSESSID cookie even before the user clicks to initiate the chat. Is there a way the buttons can be placed without placing the PHPSESSID straight away and only when the user initiates the chat? That way we can put a warning on the button stating that the chat does use cookies.
I'm not overly familiar with PHP but could change some source files if you are able to advise what will need to be altered to achieve this?
OR is there a way that cookies don't need to be used at all? I realise this may be a naiive question!
Thank you once again for this great piece of software, I hope to hear from you soon.
I would suggest the feature for real-time translation. This feature alone would be next to the operator in order to understand the messages received and so you can also write in the language of the user. If you could tell me where in the code for this implementation would be better for everyone. The code is not commented so it's hard to figure out where I put this implementation.
Anyone know how to use and/or build/compile mibewjava. I can't find any directions regarding it. I'm mainly a PHP developer and don't have much experience with Java so any help would be awesome!
Sory for my bad english I suggest update the code i have many code sugestion is very old school programing method but i like your soft
Trying to use the Mibew Notifier app in org.mibew.jabber/resources folder and there seems to be a number of issues. I'm using mac 10.7.4 with java version "1.6.0_33". When I try to open the application I get the following errors:
12-07-24 4:10:05.821 PM [0x0-0xebbebb].org.mibew.notifier: [JavaAppLauncher Error] chdir() failed, could not change the current working directory to /Applications/Mibew Notifier.app/Contents/Resources/Java
Looks like there's no Resources/Java directory in the app. I created the directory and added the smack*.jar files and I get this error:
12-07-24 4:11:41.399 PM [0x0-0xebeebe].org.mibew.notifier: [LaunchRunner Error] The main class "org.mibew.trayapp.NotifyApp" could not be found.
I wasn't able to find the org.mibew.trayapp.NotifyApp file. I can see in info.plist that it's looking for org.mibew.notifier.jar. I'm not sure where to find this or how to compile since I'm not overly familiar with java. Any thoughts?
I think it would be nice if there was a official-possibility check the operator via ajax (client side javascript)
my example of implementation:
this allowed to use next code in client side:
thanks! :)
Entering install script throws an error "Cannot read file /install/package"
After I've added package file from 1.6.4. it required file "/COPYING" which is also absent in 1.6.5.
The next error is 'Checksum differs for /b.php' and so on, and so on.
Complete mess.
Is there any project to a version mibew for android?
I would like to join or start a project this.
