Will need to tweak backend firewalls to allow web servers to POST to elasticsearch, and also reconfigure web servers to connect directly to elasticsearch servers instead of going through port 80 (which allows only GET)

The updated file-to-release matching entity update worker has reduced the urgency for this feature. It might instead make more sense to have a helper script to enqueue updates based on edits to the container, or any arbitrary elasticsearch query. This would look like the ingest tool: a streaming elasticsearch query that results in API hits that result in Kafka publishes.
