This is great!

I would propose to add support for the ~ipad modifier just like iOS supports it, so that it loads the storyboard with ~ipad suffix when running on a tablet (i.e. LaunchScreen~ipad.storyboard)

@peterlindholm would you be able to make a pull request? i would like to use the LaunchScreen.storyboard in my splash screen but I'm not a swift/ios developer.

@jayenashar Basically you don't have to be a swift developer to make this work, you can just copy-paste the code above into Pods>Development Pods>Capacitor>Plugins>SplashScreen.swift and it should work. I haven't tried it with the latest versions of Capacitor, I don't know if @jcesarmobile and team made any other changes to the SplashScreen plugin after I made these changes. Hopefully this can be added into a future version of Capacitor, perhaps with the iPad storyboard addition as noted above. 👍

thanks. i will try that when i get access to my friend's mac. looking at Podfile, that file is in node_modules, so i guess i need to do that after each update/install. i did do a diff and patch it against the latest version and there's some small changes but it's pretty clear what it should be. i also left out the pause/resume stuff and just did the imageView -> viewController.view changes. maybe i'll make a PR!
