This issue is same as #29170 .
I think this error can be resolved by updating the @stencil/core, so I make a pull request for it.

Hello, wondering if there is a workaround in the meantime. I have a package I'm trying to use that requires @capacitor/core of at least 5.0.0 (I formerly had 4.8.0), but upgrading to 5.0.0 introduces this bug, making my app non-functional.

What do I do in the meantime? Also, which package should I update to get the fix from the "upcoming release of Ionic Framework"?

EDIT: Looks like I just need to use an earlier version of the package I'm using that DOESN'T require cap/core 5.0.0 -- leaving this here in case someone else is early in their dev journey and didn't think of that one right away.

The Ionic Framework bug fix was released as part of v7.8.1.

Now there is another issue is because of the fix, its asking for the types eventCaptures which are optional in types
