You most probably installed node using apt-get. You could try to alias node=nodejs, but you will run in other issues later. Don't do that. Install NodeJS from ppa:

sudo apt-get install -y python-software-properties python g++ make
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:chris-lea/node.js -y
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nodejs -y

PS: I'm also using Ubuntu. 😏
