Untuk akses informasi user, Dashboard-nya langsung ke DB atau lewat API?
Kalo lewat API, mesti siapin DBMS sama API nya.
Saran sih lewat API, jadi Dashboard User-nya nanti waktu otentikasi ngambil data ke API. Dan untuk akses admin bikin system terpisah jadi bisa fokus ke fungsi Dashboard User terlebih dahulu.

Menurut saya sih mending di Dashboardnya aja, biar API-nya fokus untuk data analytics aja (nanti API-nya bakal dikasih mekanisme security juga, misal pakai tokenization atau di Flask nya diset agar cuma bisa diakses oleh IP server Dashboard). Jadi Dashboard ini adalah semacam web-app yang memanfaatkan API dari luar, dan mungkin nanti bisa API-nya bisa dipakai buat web-app lain.
Kalau yang system admin ini menurut saya penting sih kak, jadi sekalian dibikin aja. Nanti bakal ada fitur-fitur yang cuma ada di Dashboard aja, jadi Dashboardnya dikasih DB juga. Gimana?
