Hi,

If you don't want to use a secret.json, just remove the line 'secret: grunt.file.readJSON('secret.json')' from Gruntfile.js.

If you want to use key-based authentication, check out this section of the docs: https://github.com/andrewrjones/grunt-ssh#connection-options

Basically, just remove the 'username' and 'password' options and replace them with 'privateKey' and an optional 'passphrase'.

Think this is what your after.

    secret = grunt.file.readJSON('secret.json');
} catch (err) {
    grunt.log.warn(err);
}

I wanted to use my privatekey manually which I thought it didn't have a keyphrase, but my mac keychain was hiding that from me!

Also I learned that using agent: process.env.SSH_AUTH_SOCK you can authenticate with the default privatekey, so that worked for me :)
