sorry for my poor description:

1. about the color, could you add a sign '*' on current day? and cancel the background color of other days, cause which make user confused.
2. as for writing diary, when user click one day on the calendar, then there is a file created in a special directory(like ~/diary/2014/1/15/) , then user can write the content of diary in that file.
3. why I try to use your calendar.vim is that the google task sync. which is cool, but I am not sure whether users who use two-step verification can do this.

1. As you can see in the screenshot, the current day is colored and very visible. You can also tell the current day with the position of the cursor.
   
2. You can write diary in this plugin. Firstly, press i. Then input what you've done. You'll be asked to input the name of the calendar. Input as 'diary'.
3. If you have trouble in code verification, open a new issue with the error message.

In the year view, the cursor selects a month. It is a design.
On starting up the calendar, the selected day is at today.
Today is colored by green.
