Hi Alex, thanks for reporting this. Yes I can see on this libphonenumber demo page if you enter that number and submit, the "International format" is +33 6 44 44 44 44. I will look into re-compiling the libphonenumber script with some sort of getFormattedValue method, but I'm concerned about increasing the filesize too much (it's already ~200KB). Also this weekend I'm planning to do a release which includes an autoFormat option (enabled by default) which will disallow alphabetic characters to be entered. I've already pushed it to master if you want to have a look. Would you use this option, or is it important to you that users can enter alphabetic characters?

If we don't care about allowing alpha chars (which I personally don't), an easy solution would be to modify the plugin's isValidNumber method to do an extra check for alpha chars and return false if it finds any.
