@akhabali Just few moments ago I tried to install EclEmma 3.0.0 into fresh Eclipse Neon.3 (4.6.3) and it perfectly works as you can see on following screenshot:

And in the provided stack trace there is no single mention of EclEmma.

If this error appears in "Coverage View", then could you please try to close this view and add it back via menu Window -> Show View -> Other -> Java -> Coverage? Or maybe even do a reset of perspective?

the plugin was working on my installation.
the problem appears when you start eclipse with -clean
I just reproduced that this morning. I installed the plugin the restarted eclipse with -clean and the issue appeared again.
The clean of eclipse should not affect the plugin.

@akhabali Just few moments ago started the same fresh instance of Eclipse Neon.3 (4.6.3) with EclEmma 3.0.0 and with -clean without any troubles.

OK, i really don't have other information about this case. but it's systematic on my eclipse instance. the plugin stop working if i launch my instance with -clean.
i will close this issue and try to get a fresh eclipse instance, or re install the plugin every time i do a clean.
