The plan is to do some integration with Deadbolt which handles authorisation as we have in the version for Play 1.x

I was wondering how the progress of updating deadbolt 2 to scala and integration with SecureSocial was progressing? I have SecureSocial in place, and love how it works. I'd like to integrate it with an authz framework. Deadbolt 2 doesn't seem to be updated for use in a pure scala application (at least I can't figure out how to properly extend the Scalabolt handler with SecureSocial to provide a RoleHolder, since the examples are too simple with null implementations).

I've also looked at deadrope but without much progress.

I know Deadbolt's author is working on it but I have an ETA yet. Will try to reach him and see where we are. I need to use something like that myself.
