I modified tests, now they run significantly longer and you need 64bit JVM.
Also there may be deadlong in AsyncWriteEngineTest, I should add timeouts there.

Would it be possible to adapt the tests to the architecture (i.e. maybe only run a subset on a 32bit JVM)? After all the software is also usable on a 32bit JVM and maybe some people (apart from me) would just expect "mvn install" to run through and create the jar? If something hangs there or even fails because of 32bit people may start to file additional issues ....

I will think about that. The truth is that MapDB uses memory mapped files and
it kind of sucks on 32bit platforms. There is workaround (randomAccessFile),
but it is pretty slow.

I moved long running tests into other project. MapDB should be now buildable on Win32
from mapdb.
