Hi @jmaupetit, thanks again for your script. I'm not using FastCGI myself so I wondered if there is a reason you're not using the runfcgi management command as described in the Django deployment documentation?

To me your script does a bit of PYTHONPATH modification and runs the same as the runfcgi managment command, besides of course installing the import hook of django-configurations. If you would use the runfcgi management command (and would have modified it like mentioned it in the django-configurations quickstart) you would get that for free.

Hi jezdez. Thank you for your answer. I cannot use the runfcgi management command since my provider does not allow users to run their own servers. The fastcgi script runs via apache/mod_fcgid.

Aha! Okay, I'll add a small section to the docs, can you say which provider that is?
