Is "1.0" meant to be compatible with Django 1.7? When can we drop compatibility with 1.7 and start using new functionality in Django 1.8? (see #30 as to the reason for this question).

Yeah, 1.0 is definitely supposed to be compatible with 1.7 to ease the transition to the app. When we add new features to Django it's a common technique for 3rd party apps to backport some of the functionality to work on both. That's a necessary evil but in case of #30 not a big deal IMO.

Is there any progress on this issue? Django 1.8 is approaching fast and I guess it is important for a lot of people to have a PyPI - package with the formtools...
