Do you have an example of exactly what documentation needs expanding? In the CAS protocol section of the docs, I've linked to several pages that walk through the authentication process for the different versions of CAS. Those seem like a good starting point for what you're asking for, but if there is information that's not available there it can certainly be added.

In the process, I found that the CAS documentation links were outdated, so those are now fixed. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

The CAS client depends heavily on the services you're configuring with CAS. I've used phpCAS the most because of services that are written in PHP. If you're looking for a Django CAS client, I've heard the K-State django-cas fork recommended, but I've not used it personally.
