I found it!
Take a look at your plugin for example this file. https://github.com/jeremyclark13/automatic-theme-plugin-update/blob/master/plugin/test-plugin-update/test-plugin-update.php
About line 78 in the conditions !isset($args->slug) || ($args->slug != $plugin_slug)
Don't return false;! Just return $def;
from automatic-theme-plugin-update.
