Support for standalone components is on the way and will be released as version 17.1.0 but in the meanwhile you can refer to this previous post: #451 (comment)

Support for standalone component has been released as part of the ngx-markdown v17.1.0 release.
Please, also make sure to read the release notes for version v17.0.0 which is the update for Angular 17 as there are breaking changes.
