Just tested with Firefox and Chrome. Both don't load the src if the type is
application/json
or
text/plain
So the current version is OK. text/plain would perhaps just be even a bit more verbose. Anyway I'd suggest to add a comment line of code to this demo module, explaining that this will prevent loading the src. This is not obvious I guess. Perhaps excerpts from this issue could also be added to the documentation text.

Just had a look at your cookiesjsr documentation (https://github.com/jfeltkamp/cookiesjsr) and in the example you're using text/plain yourself.

So I'd suggest to indeed change the demo and all module implementations to text/plain to have it best-practice. Technically, it won't change things, I think.
