In fact, the whole generator for Javascript has already been contributed to the Swagger Codegen project:
https://github.com/swagger-api/swagger-codegen

see "Where is Javascript???":
"On Dec 7th 2015, a Javascript API client generator has been added by @jfiala."

So you can use everything there and AFAIK there is already a Javascript example for the Petstore as well.

Thanks for the response @jfiala. Actually, I just found the JavaScript client test under https://github.com/swagger-api/swagger-codegen/tree/master/samples/client/petstore/javascript, and I see there are some open issues for creating documentation and further samples.

Thank you for the hint regarding open issues, I'll take a look at them when I've time for it ...
