Do your less files compile with v1.7.5 of the less compiler? That is what this project currently is using.

I am facing similar issue for my mixin varibles. I am getting the parsing error:
"sample/simple.less: .opacity is undefined" . I am using V2.0.0.
These are anything I am missing in my gruntfile?

Sorry, I don't have time to debug less syntax issues. Consider asking on stack overflow. If you can provide a reproducible repo or PR then feel free to reopen.
