Fundamentally, the only way for this crate to work with nightly is to have knowledge of when every feature was stabilized (and possibly destabilized). This is something that is fundamentally not worth my time, as it requires tracking everything happening in nightly (not just reading release notes).
The purpose of this crate is to backport already-stabilized APIs, intended for usage in libraries. For libraries that rely on stable releases, this crate works as expected. For libraries that require nightly, it's likely expected that the end user has an up-to-date nightly anyways.
Is there any particular reason you're using an out-of-date nightly?
I can try to accommodate for this, but it'll be tricky and suboptimal.

Yeah, standback should work on any stable release since 1.31, in addition to the latest nightly. I should probably note that in documentation, to be fair.
