That is not correct. Please tell me which proxy provider you are using, and I will try it myself.

Is the "Proxies available"-counter increasing? And if so, what error do you get when you spawn instances?

Yes the counter is increasing. here are some proxies:

@alexferra Thank you for your report. As you are using freely available proxies, I cannot help further.
Even if some appear to be working (10% of your list, I checked), they can load a single website at most.
No free proxy will sustain a load of ~5 Mbits to continously watch an entire stream, that is too expensive for any provider.
I will clarify in the docs and wiki, that free proxies will not work and are not supported.
You will need to buy proxies, https://www.webshare.io or any other provider to your liking.
