Thanks for getting in contact. It seems like there are some good ideas in the above, but as an OSS maintainer I can't really do much with this as it stands.
Normally the process in OSS would be that we could agree the need for a change e.g. in an issue, and then start work on just one of these in a PR. Keeping changes isolated helps me to review changes and isolate risks.
If you still have the need for some of these changes, feel free to open an issue for each, and we can discuss. However, do bear in mind that I'm balancing maintainance of existing features with new ones, so small changes are always preferred. :)
