When I'm inlining an svg (instead of making a network request), all png files are supposed to be at the document root.
In the past I fixed this with some htaccess rewriting, but it's not optimal.

If we could specify a matching regex to be used in the replace call along with a replacement string it would help

but it really needs an extension to define a path where the fallbacks are located or something like that.

Location specification can be done with the replaceSrc option passed into svg4everybody() in version 2.
