Is it possible that you are loading both scripts? So the normal and the legacy? I ran into the same problem using the latest versions

Nope. I've tried both svg4everybody and svg4everybody.legacy, but not simultaniously. Both versions freeze IE.

I found the issue and it's across all browsers. Can someone explain the reason behind this?

The script finds the first <use> tag, checks whether its parent is an svg tag and then it never proceeds. This should be a for loop.

Also I'm not sure why it's checking whether its direct parent is an SVG tag on line 72. @jonathantneal?
