• 🔭 Worked as a React Native Frontend Developer from the Digital Literacy Center of UBC for 8 months.

  Accomplishments

  • Planned and built reusable React components to reduce the code and make it DRY.
  • Fixed and adjusted hardcoded CSS styling to be dynamic and reactive with Flexbox.
  • Improved the application to deliver a similar User Experience on both IOS/Android including UI, platform-specific styles, and behaviors.
  • Managed tasks and collaborated with the team using Jira and Confluence.

• 🌱 Worked as an Apprentice Mentor from Lighthouse Labs for 12 weeks, average student rating of 4.85/5.

  • Mentored students on JavaScript ES6, Node/Express, and HTML5/CSS3/Flexbox for daily exercises and projects.

  • Managed 5 Java Spring apps by adding pages, improving features, and fixing errors.
  • Built history and recruitment pages on the company's WordPress site.
  • Migrated a PHP app to JSP by building reservation-related pages with jQuery and jqGrid to ensure cross-browser compatibility across IE 5-8 and Chrome.
  • Worked as a point of contact and on-call engineer to attend meetings and fix errors/update/build new features for the applications used in vehicle testing circuits of Korea Transportation Safety Authority
