Is it worth it? Maybe we should have our own trending? Based on the number of hits to each project
from api.
Debatable whether we want something like this, I think it would be cool
section on the index page with the new designs (something similar to
atom.io/packages or http://bower.io/stats/). The number of hits on a project will probably be pretty
consistent so the list will likely get stale no?

Not really, the hits will show the real popularity of the project on jsDelivr. The more websites use it, the more hits it gets, the more popular it is.
Because Github's trending will be the same thing as on their website. Whats the point duplicating it.

I haven't seen the file hits but I'd assume it barely changes week to week. For instance I assume it will be stuck on a boring list like
- twbs
- html5shiv
- respondjs
- jquery
- angularjs
- Ember
- lodash
- underscore
And rarely show newer projects. Using the github trending list will be more dynamic and likely less work
from api.
Yes but it will still be a Github trending list that can be viewed at Github. I just dont see why we should show the same stuff :)
